Welcome to the 2024 Spring Season!

We warmly welcome all new teams joining Kidzplay Netball and wish both new and returning teams an enjoyable Spring League season!

YEARS 1 - 6 DRAW

The draw for the first week of the 2024 Spring Season (19th October) can be found at the bottom of this page after all the notes. The draws for the remainder of the season will be published soon.

Reminder: There are no games on Saturday, 26th October due to Labour Weekend.

Important Notes

DRAWS

  • The draw for games commencing 19th October is now available. Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to view it. All remaining games will be displayed at the start of Term 4.
  • You can set filters for preferred grades/year levels.
  • The date range can also be adjusted to filter draws by your chosen dates. Ensure the correct dates are selected.
  • Teams are divided into sections, but some teams will move between sections due to the numbers involved.
  • Please Note: Draws are final and will not be changed.
  • The last day of the Spring League is 30th November. Traditionally, this is a fun dress-up day for teams.
  • The draws for the remainder of the season are being finalised and will be published soon.

RESULTS

  • The Spring League is non-competitive, and all games are intended to be friendly and fun. Therefore, results will not be published.

UMPIRES

  • Every team requires an umpire. To check if your team has booked a Kidzplay pool umpire, click here.
  • Important: We do not have spare pool umpires. If your umpire is unavailable, please notify us as soon as possible. Do not arrive on game day expecting extra umpires. For more information on booking pool umpires, click here.

BOYS IN TEAMS

  • Boys are welcome to play. A maximum of two boys per team is allowed on the court at any time, with only one boy in the goal circle at a time.​​​​​​​

Games Format for Spring League

We are excited to introduce some fun, new formats specifically for the Spring League​​​​​​​:

    YEAR 1 (6-aside) TEAMS

    • Two 10-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime break.
    • Teams swap ends at halftime.
    • Substitutions for players on a half game are to be made at halftime.
    • Must rotate positions weekly.
    • 1.8m goalposts, Size 4 ball.

    YEAR 1 (7-aside) & YEAR 2 TEAMS (Includes Year 1/2)

    • Two 15-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime break.
    • Teams swap ends at halftime.
    • Must rotate positions weekly (positions can be swapped at halftime).
    • Substitutions for players on a half game are to be made at halftime.
    • 2.3m goalposts, Size 4 ball.

    YEAR 3 & YEAR 4 TEAMS (Includes Year 2/3 and Year 3/4)

    • Four 8-minute quarters with 1-minute breaks after quarters 1 and 3, and a 2-minute halftime break.
    • Teams swap ends at halftime only.
    • Must rotate positions weekly (positions can be swapped at halftime, but only at halftime).
    • Substitutions for players on a half game are to be made at halftime.
    • Minimum half a game per player.
    • 2.6m goalposts, Size 4 ball.
    • Year 3 games start at 8:45 am, followed by Year 4 games.

    YEAR 5 & YEAR 6 TEAMS (Includes Year 4/5 & Year 5/6)

    • Four 8-minute quarters with 1-minute breaks after quarters 1 and 3, and a 2-minute halftime break.
    • Teams swap ends at each quarter.
    • No compulsory position rotations. Players can swap positions during intervals/breaks.
    • Minimum half a game per player.
    • Year 4/5 & 5 teams use a size 4 ball, 3.05m goalposts.
    • Year 5/6 & 6 teams use a size 5 ball, 3.05m goalposts.

    General Information

    • Map: View the court layout here.
    • Uniforms: Uniforms are not required, but teams should wear similar colors.
    • Time Requests: We are unable to accept any more time requests this season.
    • Wet Weather: Games are played unless extreme weather occurs. Players can wear extra layers as long as team bibs remain visible.

    Reminders

    • No Jewellery: Players must remove all jewellery, including watches, and cannot tape earrings. This rule applies to all grades and is non-negotiable for safety reasons. Medical bracelets may be worn if covered with tape.
    • Fingernails & Hair: Players' fingernails must be short and smooth. Long hair must be tied back.
    • No Dogs: Only service dogs are permitted on the school grounds.

    Parking

    We kindly ask all visitors to allow extra time for parking and to do so in a safe and considerate manner. Please note that Auckland Transport (AT) rigorously enforces parking regulations, and fines may be issued for illegal parking. Additionally, vehicles obstructing others or parked on private property are subject to towing.
