Want to become a Kidzplay Netball Pool Umpire?

Every year in Term 1, before the netball season begins, we hold a pre-season meeting and trials for umpires interested in joining our umpire pool.

Eligibility Requirements:

To trial for the Kidzplay Netball Umpire Pool, you must:

• Have completed an umpire course
• Have at least one year of umpiring experience (including both Winter and Spring Leagues)

2025 Umpire Pool Registration Details:

• Opens: 1st February 2025
• Closes: 28th February 2025 (No late registrations will be accepted)
• Important: Spaces are limited. Walk-ins on trial day are not permitted.

Keep an eye on our website (this page) for updates. Please refrain from emailing us before 1st February 2025, as the registration form will only be available online from that date.

Note: We only accept new umpire intakes at the beginning of each year, and pool umpires typically commit to both the Winter and Spring Leagues.

Completed an umpiring course and want to take the next step?

If you have completed an umpiring course, you are allowed to umpire junior netball at any netball centre, e.g. Kidzplay Netball, Netball North Harbour, etc.

Your next step will be finding yourself a team you can umpire. Please contact your local primary school's netball/sports co-ordinator as they may be looking for umpires.
